The battery, to see if it has a charge. The gas, to see if it is still good enough to burn properly. The water in the radiator, to make sure the engine wont overheat. The oil, to make sure it is at the correct level and no water has corrupted it. The tire air pressure, to make sure that all are at correct pressure.
The first thing you want to check is your battery state of charge. If your car has been sitting that long, I can almost guarantee that your battery is dead. If it's been sitting that long, your best bet is to replace the battery.
You should probably charge the battery and check the tire pressure.
The gasoline is probably stale and the tires are probaly soft and the battery may be dead.
You can tell if a car is reposed by seeing if it is just sitting there. Reposed just means: The act of resting or the state of being at rest.
You need to check for a spsrk at the plugs & you need to check if fuel is getting to the engine.

I think the first place to check is the battery on the car to do this see if the headlights work, also all other electrical equipment on the vehicle.
I would definitely change the gas and probably the oil first. Check for spark and fuel getting to the cylinders.
its warmer inside than outside the car
its warmer inside than outside the car
How long its been sitting and if it has been stored inside or outside makes a big difference. Sitting a couple years or less, a fully charged battery and fresh gas added should do it. Longer than that may require draining all the old gas first. Inspect for rodent damage. After it has ran and warmed up do an oil & filter change. Check fluid levels. Air up the tires and check for dry rot. Test brakes. Check lights.
