You need to go to the doctor and get a prescription for an ointment to clear up the infection. If you don't have it in both eyes, wash your hands often and try to keep them away from touching your eyes. Wash your pillowcases and don't allow anyone else to use them while you have it. Pink eye(conjunctivitis) is very contagious and very irritating. In the morning wash your eyes with a solution of warm weak tea and wash your hands afterward very thoroughly. Good luck.
