In addition, you need: • Age: If you are sixteen or seventeen, you will need to show parental consent. You can apply for a marriage license in any of the North Carolina County Register of Deeds offices. Both parties need to bring a current driver's license, or ID card. Both parties must also have social security numbers and sign an affidavit to that fact. Also, a certified copy of their birth certificates. Divorcees must provide the date of their divorce.
