don't do it. people come to the us to get decent health care. you're moving in the wrong direction, and you know it, based on all your questions. there's something to be said for gut-feelings (no pun intended).
Beginning January 23, 2007 all passengers flying between Mexico and the United States will be required to have a valid passport. Currently the government expects to implement the requirement that all travellers must present a passport or a PASS card on 1 January, 2008. This may be put into effect later than this date. The PASS card is still under development, but it will be similar in size to a driver's license and works for sea and land travel. In the past a driver's license or other state issued photo ID has been sufficient. See the Related Link for "US Government Travel Regulations" to the right for the current requirements.

Yes, they do.
All Canadian and American citizens need passports to travel to Mexico. The main reason they need the passport is to reenter Canada or the United States.
No. Both are in the United States. You do not need a passport to travel from state to state.
You will need your valid US passport, your tourist card (document given to you upon entry into Mexico) and, in some Mexican states, you will need a copy of your birth certificate with a certified Spanish translation.

There are a couple of answers for you but no matter what you need an ID for all answers I'm about to give. If you travel by bus, or any automotive you need a U.S. Naturalization Citizenship document and if you travel by plane or boat you need a passport POSTER: In response to your question. So, if you are a U.S. citizen, once you are actually in the country of Mexico, you still need to provide ID to go from one part of Mexico to another? What if you are a Mexican citizen who ONLY wants to travel within the borders of Mexico. Would he need an ID?
does a citizen of Mexico need a passport to go from the us to Mexico and back? He is legal to be in us but not a us citizen.
Citizens from Trinidad & Tobago don't require a visa to visit Mexico. All they need is a valid passport.
Not really, if you are entering Mexico by road. In fact, unless you are arriving by plane, no autority will ask for your documents. Only problem is on your way back to the United States, as you need to validate your immigration status (e.g. birth certificate, green card or American passport is needed).
A tourist visa will get you into Japan. You can get one at the Japan consulate near Sukhumvit Soi 19.
