Looking at the next line after this one, in Psalm 23:4, gives us a clue what is meant. It tells us that we need not be afraid, because God is with us, to comfort us (the "rod and staff" are actual items used in shepherding, to correct, direct and protect the sheep, so they well picture God's loving care for his 'sheep-like'(humble/teachable) people). It means that no matter what trial we face, even death, we do not need to be afraid, if we have a relationship with God. Psalm 27:1 tells us that God is the stronghold of our lives, our light and our salvation. If WE do our part to search for Him(Acts 17:26+27), and carefully try to do what He wants us to do(1 John 5:2+3), NOTHING can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:38+39). This is why God tells us NOT to be afraid. He is with us to fortify us and help us, figuratively holding our hand to the end of the trial, or our lives (the 'valley of death').
Read your bible, its Psalm 23.
This phrase comes from the Lord's Prayer, where believers ask God to guide them away from temptation and protect them from evil. It is a request for spiritual guidance and protection against sin and harm.
As i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i fear no evil...........
The quote "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil" is from Psalm 23:4 in the Bible. It is a verse that speaks about finding strength and courage in the face of challenges and adversity.
Psalm 23 "Though I walk through the valley of shadow death, I fear no evil, for thou art with me, Thy our rod and Thy staff they comfort me."
Psalm 3:4 (NIV) says "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Often written on our helmet covers: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil - 'cuz I'm the meanest son of a b--ch in the valley"

One of the 'redemptive' names of God found in the 23rd Psalm: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; (Jehovah-Makkah - God who smites) for You are with me;
