A person who was baptized Catholic but no longer attends church services on a regular basis
I have merged "What is a Practising Catholic with What is a Thoroughgoing Catholic as the answer is exactly the same: Actually, it is almost redundant, as in thoroughgoing can mean the same thing as catholic (with a small "c"). I suppose it would mean a Catholic Christian who actually believes and lives his faith, takes Our Blessed Lord seriously at His Word, and lives his Christianity 24/7, practices the counsels and the precepts. In other words goes to Mass on Sunday (and other days) in order to be a Catholic the rest of his life. You know he is a Catholic Christian by his very life and speech, he is a living embodiment and representation of Christ, you can see Jesus in him. He prays daily, and often so that his whole entire life is a prayer. In short there is not a moment of his life that is not lived in God's presence, God is a real to him as the air he breathes, and he can as little survive without God and his prayer life than go without air. It is what each and everyone of us is called to be, so start now, cause if you don't start you are never going to get there. And Our Blessed Lord was very specific: ANYTHING you ask in His name (provided of course that it is HIS Will) HE will give you, and His Will is for you to be perfect, and you cannot be perfect until you are a thoroughgoing Catholic, and you can't get there until you start, so go to confession this Saturday, or better, call the priest and go tomorrow!
