Beit Arbel (בית ×רבל) is a 3000 year old village in Israel, although the modern village is believed to be located on a different spot than the ancient village. It means "House of Arbel." Arbel has an unknown meaning, but appears to come from the root ×.ר.ב ('.r.b.) meaning "to ambush" and the letter ל (L) which indicates God.
