Many nacional and internacional companies have factories in the country producuing to suply the internal needs, and also to export (mainly covering the region's demand).

And, obviously, things that are sold in the Brazilian market, but not produced in the Brazilian territory are products that have been made in other countries and taken to Brazil (imported products).

One interesting example of a good that Brazil import is Oil.

Brazil has a highly developed technology to extracting fossile fuels. Which garantees it a great production that would suply all the internal demand and also be able to export some petrol.

But still, Brazil imports oil due to the density of the nacional one. The imported oil is mixed to the nacional so it's proper to be sold and used.

Brazil imports stuff that they probably they don't need because they already have it in their country. just like sugar, shirts,and paper. those stuff are some of the things that they already have in their country
