Chilean money looks a lot like the euro. The coins are almost identical, with concentric rings of while and bronze metal. The notes are also *very* similar, with the lowest denomination being green (1,000), then purple (2,000), red (5,000), blue (10,000), and orange (20,000).
They lack any denomination larger that 20,000 pesos, which is equivalent to today (September 2012) $40.00 USD.
All bills have similar features, including a clear plastic window with a hologram, as a security feature.
It always strikes me as interesting just how close the Euro and the Chilean currencies are.
