Cupid's Greek equivalent was Eros. He was the primordial god of sexual love and beauty. He was the son of Ares and Aphrodite. Cupid, his Roman counterpart, name meant "desire."

-Just a quick correction, Eros is both the name of a Primordial God (the predecessors of the Titans) and the son of Ares and Aphrodite (making him the brother of Hermione). The two beings were not the same person.
