What does DNA do in cell?

DNA is used to reproduce and repair cells. I think either DNA or RNA makes proteins (I know RNA does)

DNA contains the genetic material that codes for proteins and other polypeptides. Sections of the DNA are copied into RNA which is then used the create polypeptides.
