Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen ( sensor )
Center terminal is connected to the positive from the battery. Outside is connected to ground (-).
ground
Usually on the Negative terminal of the battery.
The red terminal on a car battery is the positive terminal which feeds electrical current to various devices. The black terminal is the negative, or ground, terminal which is attached to the car frame.
The negative terminal does not go to the starter on a negative ground system. The negative terminal goes to ground.
The positive battery terminal goes to ground, the negative terminal goes to the starter solenoid.
The negative battery terminal is on the battery. They don't have a wire coming from it like they do the positive. For charging purposes, the engine block acts as the battery ground. When disconnecting the negative at the battery, the negative terminal usually has a black wire and the positive has a red.
Cars in which the positive terminal of the battery is connected to the chassis. They require specially designed components built for positive ground cars. The usual configuration is a negative ground (the negative battery terminal connected to the car's chassis).
The physical body of your DC Equipment is always your GROUND. This GROUND is where you also connect your -VE.
Negative terminal is grounded to the vehicle. Because the system is a negative ground system. Electricity will not flow unless it has a path to ground.
Establish which terminal is connected to ground and disconnect the wire from the terminal. Disconnect the terminal on the other battery that is connected to the load. Finally disconnect the loop between the batteries.
Unhook the pos terminal of the battery. touch the pos terminal lead to the ground post on the battery. The computer is now reset. Its that easy!
