In the ancient Greek culture Hera was the wife of Zeus, daughter of Cronos, and the lordess of the gods. Although she may have thrown her newborn son, Hephæstus, off of mount Olympus and into the sea, the goddess Hera represtents marriage and the structure of family.

Well, Hera is not a modern goddess, but the peacock feather is one of her symbols. Pomegranates work too.
