Konichiwa
¡Hola! When answering a telephone, instead of saying ¡Hola! many people say, "Diga" which literally means 'Tell' or 'Say.'
- "Konichiwa" & "Koncha" is a short and informal way of saying it.
Konnichiwa (Kon-ee-chee-wa), is basic hello, and means Good Afternoon Domo (Doh-mo), is informal way of saying hello
New Zealanders still say hello! Probably too lazy to use the English language properly.
im albanian and there really isn't a hello sorta but when you answer a phone instead of saying hello you say alo usually when i wanna say hello to another albanian i just say hello and they understand
Its a way of saying hello, in japanese though. Its also a way of getting someones attention.
Russians may wave (or simply raise their hand) to say hello instead of, or in addition to, saying "Hello". They are, however, more likely to wave goodbye.
