1.) She thinks it will work to well and Actually kill her. 2.) Shes worried that it wont work at all and she will be forced to marry county Paris. 3.) She is afraid Romeo wont be there when she awakes, or that he just wont care.
There was a hope of her ending up successfully rejoined with Romeo, in contrast to her own plan, which was suicide.
He figures if her parents think she is dead, Juliet will be able to sneak out of town without having the Capulets chasing after her.
Friar Lawrance's plan for Juliet is that he will give her a drug that is supposed to put her in a death- like slumber for 24 hours so her family will think she is dead and he will send a letter to Romeo telling him that Juliet is waiting for him.

Additionally, he sees the potion as a viable solution to their predicament, hoping that Juliet's trust in him will lead her to embrace the plan.

Juliet and Friar Lawrence made the plan to fake Juliet's death so she could runaway with Romeo. They had planed for her to take a vile that would make her cold and fall asleep for 48 hours. Friar Lawrence sent a note to Romeo telling of their plan so Romeo and Friar Lawrence could go retrieve Juliet once her funeral was over.
Romeo had already made up his mind to kill himself before he saw Juliet. He just carries on with that plan.
Friar Lawrence gave Juliet a potion that would put Juliet into a coma-like sleep for about two days straight. Everybody would think she was dead. Juliet's relatives would put her in a cellar (their family morgue) and Romeo and himself would be there waiting for her to wake up. Then Romeo and Juliet could live together in Mantua.
