he sees the spirit bear again.
In chapters 16-18 of "Touching Spirit Bear," Cole continues his journey of healing and self-discovery on the island. He faces a powerful storm that threatens his survival and learns important lessons about perseverance and resilience. Cole also begins to truly connect with nature and appreciate its beauty and power.
Cole was mad in the beginning because the spirit bear wasnt affraid of him. so he wanted to kill it. the spirit bear was showing self diffence so he attacked cole. Cole realized that he wasnt very important to nature so he kind of changed. Cole saw the spirit bear again while he was almost dead in the forest, he spit at it and the spirit bear licked up his spit. At that point the Spirit bear trusted cole and cole trusted the spirit bear. the spirit bear let cole touch him and they were trusting each other.n the spirit bear walked away but cole does see him again later in the book.
No because once you are born your spirit is with you
Cole is either afraid of the spirit bear ( he tries to kill it, people don't kill some thing they're not afraid of. Well then again Cole does have issues.) or he's afraid of being lonely "...the realization that he was alone, totally alone with himself. And it scared him."

It is said that touching an "Elf on the Shelf" may cause it to lose its magic and ability to fly to the North Pole to report to Santa Claus. It's best to avoid touching the elf to maintain its magic and keep the holiday tradition alive.
