It shows you how a worksheet will look on a printed page.
Page Break Preview.
Put your page in to scanner and select the preview option, it will show you the preview. Now, select the portion you want to scan and press scan option.
Lines show on the page to indicate where the breaks are.

page setup is customization of page and print preview is how it will look when you send page to printer
You change landscape and portrait page setup in preview by going to page layout and go down to page orientation.
Page preview is viewing the page as it would appear before it has been printed or displayed. This is common before printing a document.

You can go and click an option called print preview or page preview. It will show your paper exactly how it will look when it prints. It will also let you zoom in and look for mistakes without actually changing something on accident.
The print preview icon is just a short cut to get to the print preview page. This page shows you have the printed paper itself will look, with out and proofreader marks or anything along those lines.
Print Preview in Excel allows you to see how your worksheet will look when it is printed. So it would show a page and what will fit on it. The data may be on several pages and this would be shown in the Print Preview, so you could see what appears on each page without actually printing it. This can allow you to change the document and move some data so it appears on a different page.
Click Home tab, click Print Preview, and choose the number of pages to preview.
