SOHC mean Single OverHead Cam Shaft,it is basically mechanism of controlling Valve of an automobile engine..cam shaft located at the head of cylinder.it pushes valve as per pre determined interval of time to facilitate entry of air-fuel mixer in to the cylinder.cam shaft is driven by crank shaft.previously cam shaft was side of cylinder block, now a days it is located in the head of cylinder.that is why it is called overhead. another type is DOHC-Dual OverHead Cam Shaft-where two cam shaft operate the valve opening and closing. however after entering of air-fuel mixure into the cylinder it burn. hence power is produce. SFI stands for Fuel Stratified Injection.it is advanced fuel injection system which facilitate to consume less amount of fuel during combustion (burning). basically now a days fuel is directly inject in to the combustion-chamber of each cylinder-engine.as oppose to curburator system.so SFI is the same system. engrmoinu@yahoo.com
Does the Pontiac 3.1 Liter sfi 3100 V6 have any problems?
You Need To Provide More Information : Make And Model Of Vehicle Would Help. Reask I`m Sure We Can Help
Do you mean a 4 Cylinder 148 B 2.4L SFI DOHC? Also, are you sure this vehicle has a manual tranny, as I can't find any info that says they were available, only an Auto-tranny? If you have an auto-tranny, then there is no kit for this at a normal auto-parts store.
A Silver Team leader in SFI's contribution: I personally receive a monthly residual income from SFI. I will admit, as a newbie it was quite daunting and at first I made some costly mistakes. After I had completed all the basic training I started to study the most successful SFI Affiliates. Only after I started to duplicate their methods did I start marking a good income. Starting out without giving it 100% is guaranteed to bring you unstuck. Most people who sign up with SFI get past the first page and think its to hard...but really its not. Is SFI a scam? No definitely not. It's a legitimate home based business that has been in operation for 13 years. As a Silver Team Leader its my job to sponsor my affiliates and help them duplicate my success. I do everything I can and always make time to speak to any members of my team.
This could mean any number of things depending on what sort of vehicle you are in.
Paying the amount owed to the lender plus any fees or penalties, in order to retain ownership of the vehicle.
If the 8th " character " of your VIN is a " K " , you have the 4.0 liter - SOHC - V6 flex fuel vehicle engine . You can run regular unleaded or E85 or any combination of the 2 fuels
Any 96, 97, 98, or 99 3400 SFI engine will fit. This includes from a 99 Grand Am or Alero or other GM vehicle that uses the 3400. The 2000 and newer versions are not a direct fit; I believe because of sensor differences.
any leans on vehicle
Without looking.... it PROBABLY came with 2.3L SOHC (single over head cam) You should google that year and model for much more info. When it comes to ANY GM vehicle it just depends on what parts they had on hand that day.
No they are all SOHC 4 stroke singles.
any sohc from 92-2000 should fit bolt-on
