Stanley thinks he's gone mad
because he liked the smell
running from his school to his house
I'm not completely sure but this is what i think, PS: I'm reading the book and have watched the movie! Stanley:- Was accused of stealing a pair of trainers, it wasn't stanleys fault. The shoes had fell from an over head bridge and landed on him Zero:- Was the person who threw the shoes over the bridge and coinsidently landed on Stanley. The Police/court then found out that it was Zero's fault not Stanley's Twitch:- Stealing cars (Has an obbsession with this) I think some of them was manslaughter and shoplifting.

On the very same day that Stanley's father invented the cure for foot odor in the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar, he was robbed and a pair of shoes that Stanley was supposed to be delivering fell out of the sky and hit him on the head. This led to Stanley being wrongly convicted of a crime he didn't commit and sent to Camp Green Lake.
