what does type 41 mean on a 2005 Jeep liberty.
NOTHING IMPORTANT- IT IS THE DESIGNATION OF THE GAUGE MANUFACTURER.
IT IS NOT A WARNING LAMP, BUT CAN APPEAR TO BE IF LIGHT REFLECTS OFF OF IT.
THE "TYPE 41" IS PAINTED ON THE GAUGE- JUST FORGET IT'S THERE, IT WON'T BITE
type 41 is just a patent/ stock number if you look closely you'll see that its not a light but just a painted number
If I understand this right then the "type 41" is just the type of gauge that is used. It has something to do with the patents of the design. Something about the way the bulbs are installed or somthing like that. Hope this helps you. Good luck.Brad. answer: I have had several customers with this question- the "type 41" is painted on the front of the gauge. when the sunlight hits it just right it appears to be a light. it is not a warning lamp.
My Haynes service manual lists a 41 as alternator field. Take you Jeep to an auto parts store & they usually test alternators for free.

Code 41-Charging system circuit, check the alternator and wiring. The engine computer is also the voltage regulator.
41 = XLI
If you mean: 11+30 = 41 then 1*41 = 41
