Urban Industrialization is the process of a society shifting from small towns to urbanized towns. In the late 1800's this happened in the United States as we shifted from a culture dominated by agriculture to a industrialized nation, post Civil War. This process happens as people move to towns near major industries to get jobs in the industry and technology takes the place of the need for extra hands on the farm. Urban Industrialization is also a shift from self sufficiency to dependency as people become dependent on industry as primary manufacturers of goods.
