Xiao = little mei = girl ni hao ma = How are you
In general, we'd say Xiaojie(=Miss) is much more formal than using "xiaomei"
:p it means How are you? the correct pinyin though is "Ni hao ma?"
'Ni hao' or 你好 is Chinese for 'hi' or 'hello'.Ni hao is a Chinese greeting like hello. It literally means 'you good'. If you add ma at the end that turns Ni hao into a question: Ni hao ma?
The phrase 'nee how' (usually written ni hao or ni hao ma) is the Chinese way of asking 'How are you?'.
Ma is something that you put at the end of a question in Chinese. There is nothing like it in English. It would be like saying You good ma? instead of you good. Ni hao=you good. Ni hao ma?=Are you good? I guess it's sort of like a question mark.
'ni hao ma' means 'how are you' and 'bu hao' means 'not good'
Ni hao ma.
你好吗? (ni hao ma)
你好你好吗 Ni Hao Ni Hao Ma
ni hao 你 好 is hello。 ni hao ma 你好吗? is how are you。
"你好吗"(ni hao ma)(How are you) "你好啊"(ni hao a) ( How are you) "
Actually, contrary to the previous poster. It does not mean no.Just the opposite, 'hao' means good/fine. "Ni hao" (Chinese greeting) means "You good/fine.""Ni hao, ma?" literally means "You good?"A possibly response would be hen hao, or "very good." Hen (very) Hao (good/fine).
How are you in Chinese spelling basically is(你好吗?) 'ni hao ma?' :D
