In 1921 about one million Peace Dollars had been struck when it was realized that the relief of the coin was too high. That means the features of the coin that you see were actually just a little bit higher than the rim. This was causing the dies to break more often and some of them were even difficult to stack. Production stopped and the coin was redesigned with a lower relief and production of the Peace Dollar resumed in 1922.
The High Relief coin is the 1921 Peace Dollar, not the Morgan. Circulated examples are $75.00 to $180.00, depending on grade.
