All dimes minted from 1916 through 1945 are the same and are called Mercury Dimes, or also called Winged Liberty Head dimes. I have added a link to a picture of a 1936 dime. The 1935 would look the same expect for the date

The overstamp looks like there is a 1 in front of the 2 in "1942" and is quite noticeable.However, there is a variety of the 1942-D Mercury dime that is a 2 over 1 also which is less noticeable, for this the best indicator is to look at the "4" it will have what looks like a second tail under it and the "2" will look to have dot right under the far left base.

Please look at the coin again, The series of Mercury dimes ended in 1945.
For the 1918 Mercury dime, in average condition values are $3.00-$7.00. Look at the date on the other coin again, no dimes were struck in 1932.
It's a representation of Miss Liberty wearing a winged Liberty Cap. The wings look so much like the helmet worn by the god Mercury that the dime was almost immediately referred to by that nickname, and it's stuck for nearly a century.
