It will have a black cap on it with 4 wires coming out and each wire going to a spark plug. Follow the wires from the spark plugs backward and you will find the distributor.
All of the spark plug wires go to the distributor. Just follow the wires and you will see the distributor.

There isn't a coil on Honda Civics later than 1992. The ignition is managed at the ECU and transmitted to the distributor, witch is found right on the engine cover, to the left of it.. yes that thing like an octopus with 4 wires.
It depends on what year it is. Generally Honda civic has 4 x100 bolt pattern but some models like Civic VII (06>) it is 5 x114.3
