Depends on what you mean by service it? Change spark plugs, change lower unit oil, change impeller & thermostat, check 20 amp fuse, FULL decard, compression check, etc.....
By 1996, Force outboards had been acquired by Mercury Marine. The 1996 models used a Chrysler / Force powerhead, carburetor, and mid section. The ignition system and the lower unit were of Mercury design, as were most of the trim units.
