Your tractor drive tandems could weigh in at 34,000 lbs, but you could only have 20,000 lbs. on the single axle of the trailer.
25,000 - 40,000 lbs. or more, depending on specifics. When you say "tractor-trailer", you're citing an all-inclusive category which would include everything from a single axle tractor pulling a 28' single axle trailer up to heavy haul units of over 20 axles... I've personally run combinations which have weighed in excess of 250,000 lbs. empty.
Pintle hooks are found on the back of a 28 foot trailer, they are used to attach a dolly witch is used to attach a second 28 foot trailer.
If you're pulling doubles, the first trailer is either the longest one (if you're running Rocky Mountain doubles--a 48 foot and a 28 foot) or the one with the biggest load. If you're pulling triples, the same deal applies--heaviest hooks to the tractor, next heaviest in the middle and lightest in the back.
It will, that does not mean you should. You really need a 12.4-28 or a 13.6-28.
Sure, there's no problem 'provided' that the rails, or guides, that the pontoons sit on are correctly positioned. The length of the trailer shouldn't have any affect on its ability to carry a smaller boat if its pontoons fit properly.
Luc Bourdon died on May 29, 2008 during a motorcycle accident with a tractor trailer. The Vancouver Canucks unofficially retired his number 28. RIP Luc
