JR and Maltese are both Terriers so this cross is not a hybrid.
Jack Russells come in long hair (texture=strawy) and short hair. sable, brown & black markings on a white coat, long leg or short leg, black markings on the face and base of tail, as a pup grows the marking moves down the tail. low maintanence.
Maltese have a softer white coat extra long, long, short. stumped/ish noses. can get eye gunk-yellowing issues. high maintanence.
They both have either; Long tails that curl & short tails.
My Cross has the colouring of a Jack R, A tail that is long and curls leaving long hair whisping, long soft fur against the skin. A blowdry makes it a little fluffy but not like the maltese, the hair is more straight against skin, around ears the fur is fluffy & coloured.
He has the body shape of a Jack Russell and the Long hair coat BUT the coat is soft like a Maltese not strawy like on pure bred Jack Russells.
JR = They can have perfect patches, cermetrical around the eyes or all over randomly, his are perfect.
It would differ per puppy, this is one example.

Okay well Maltese are all white. So if it crosses with a jack Russell the dog will probably be brown or black. It should be fairly small cause there both little dogs. I have a miniture Maltese and I just adore her.

∙ 13y agoThe standard one has long and lean legs, usally white with orangey tan and black and brown markings. The standard size would probally be a little more of the size of a microwave oven.
