When for whatever reason, you need to take some time off in Community Outreach, you simply post that you'll be away for a while in the Community Outreach forum thread entitled "I'll Be Back!" Your status will remain as an active WikiGuide.

Missions can be earned by greeting new contributors, congratulating contributors for various achievements they've earned (mentoring program graduates, new supervisors, achieving a certain WikiGuide status, etc.), helping new contributors out with problems or questions they have about WikiAnswers, the list goes on.In the Community Outreach home, the WikiGuide chooses a Mission from the Mission Builder. Each community action the program performs will have plenty of missions available. When the WikiGuide completes the mission he or she has accepted, they click on "Complete."Once the mission has been verified and approved, it will become available again and the WikiGuide will receive credit for that mission.Ths standard missions are listed below. Each task on the misison builder will generally earn one 1 mission each.New Contributor Greetings - Greet new contributors to the site. Meet new people,make friends, and help them learn their way around the site. You will receive via email an updated list of new contributors weekly, along with the message containing our guidelines and tips for greeting.Contributor Kudos - Spot a good contribution? How do you stay active as a WikiGuide?
There is no required number of missions you have to do to stay active now. You can take breaks from the program when you need or want to, and then come back when you're ready.
