Before they have been weaned, cockatiels can eat wheat-bix and other soft foods. After they are weaned, cockatiels can eat anything that adult cockatiels eat. Cockatiels love lettuce! (Not too much - it acts as a laxative in large amounts). Your cockatiel will also enjoy carrot and brocolli.
DO NOT FEED YOUR COCKATIEL AVOCADO OR TOMATO!
Well, before you go forcing food down his throat, you have to think of possible reasons why he isn't eating.
Here are a few possible reasons he isn't hungry:
He is stressed out.
He is scared/uncomfortable with his surroundings.
He doesn't like the food you are trying to give him.
He is tired of the food you are giving him.
Here are some tips on getting your little pal to eat:
Try putting small amounts of food in the palm of your hand and have him eat it.
Put a small amount of food in his bowl, but chop up some dry fruits and sprinkle some on top.
Change up his diet a bit (not too much because he might get sick from new food change)
Usually i would mix it up with some seeds they really enjoy, if they're still not eating try mushing little bits up at a time with their seed. It takes them a while.
I would recommend you buy a baby cockatiel. That way it would be more likely to bond with you.

The average weight of a cockatiel is 93 grams.
It's not a problem, in a way it's a good thing because, while a dog may eat a cockatiel if it becomes angry with it, a cockatiel definatly won't eat a dog!
Around 18-21 days
Cockatiel's are very difficult to age. You can only be accurate about their age if you've had the bird from a baby. The only way a cockatiel can be aged is as a juvenile, adult or senior.
You can wean a baby cockatiel when they are at least eight to nine weeks of age.
Just like with dogs they become a mix usually they are like white and then have grey spotches. :D I hope that helps ;)
Cockatiels can eat millet and they love it! It is a treat, though, and should be given to them occasionally to avoid overweight cockatiels.
My cockatiel loves to eat pineapple, it is his favorite snack besides millet.
The quoll, a carnivorous marsupial of Australia, will eat cockatiels.
