black object completely absorbe the incident energy and does not reflect any light because if energy incident on any other thing it reflect some portion in atmosphere that is why we can see the thing that it is in which colour but if energy absorbes by any object here total absorption no reflection

Why does lightning hit black objects?

Light hits everything, however black objects absorb it.

Imagine you are on a strange new planet All the lights in this planet is greenAll the objects are blue What color do the objects appear to be?

Since blue objects absorb the green light, the objects appear black.

What are objects from which light can not escape because of a gravitational pull at its surface?

A black hole. However, it does not have a surface but an event horizon.

What colors of the visible light spectrum are absorbed by black objects White objects?

The color of something actually depends on the wavelengths of colors reflected from the objects chosen. For instance, a red apple is red because of the red wavelengths in white light get reflected, while others are absorbed. Actually, if a red apple were to be illuminated by light, the apple would have a black appearance. Now back to the point, when light is absorbed by a black object, the energy of the object carried by When light is absorbed by a black object, the energy carried by the light doesn't just disappear like that. Instead, it raises energy of the object causing the absorption. The object carries the absorbed energy by emitting much longer wavelength, with lower energy infrared (heat). This process of light into heat is like a key to understanding the process. Light doesn't just disappear when struck onto a black object. It's actually transformed into some other species of radiation that could be either radiated from or retained into the black object.

Can you watch objects being pulled past the event horizon of a black hole?

No. Nothing, not even light can escape from within the event horizon. Since light can't get out, we can't see anything inside, which is why black holes are black.

Why do black objects are seen black?

The "color" black is not really a color. Black is the absence of light. Black objects have pigments that absorb all light and, therefore, none is reflected for us to be able to see.

Why is solar energy attracted to black objects?

Solar energy is not attracted to black objects. Black objects just absorb light rather than reflect it.

What colors of light are reflected by an opaque black objects?

White Light

What happens when heat goes through black objects?

For a black objects or black body, the light is absorb to the black body not going through. The absorbed light is transformed to thermal energy inside the object.

What absorbes light?

black paint.

Objects that absorb all light are what color?

black

Do opaque object absorbs all the incident light on it?

Be careful not to confuse: Opaque objects are those that do not allow light to pass through it, but they can reflect light. It is BLACK objects that absorb all the incident light on it. To conclude, opaque objects do not necessarily absorb all the incident light on them but black objects ABSORB all the incident light on them (and are, of course, opaque)

What objects block light but also absorbs light?

Any solid black object does that.

What happens to silver objects with heat and light?

silver absorbs heat just like black objects.

What colour does an object reflect when it appears black?

By definition, black is the absence of light and color. In the real world, all objects with the possible exception of black holes reflect some light, but objects that appear black are absorbing, rather than reflecting, most wavelengths (colors) of visible light.

Do all objects reflect light waves?

No. A black hole does not reflect light waves. But that is assuming you regard a black hole as an "object."
