It means see your doctor! Under 60 BPM is really low for a pulse, and your blood pressure is really low as well. Systolic shouldn't be under 100, diastolic is normally 80.

Measurement of blood pressure?

I don't really know what you're getting at with this question. Blood pressure is measured with three numbers, systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. Systolic pressure measures the blood being pumped through the heart when it contracts, where diastolic measures the relaxation of the heart muscle to allow blood to fill the chambers. Puls rate is how many contract-relax cycles happen in one minute. Hope this helps...

What is the medical term meaning measuring blood pressure?

What are the changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure during exercise?

The systolic blood pressure changes significantly due to the lactic acid interacting with the ATP withing the bloodstream. During light exercises, such as walking or low weight wieghtlifting, the change is minimal. However, One moderate to high exercise is engaged, the change becomes rapid, increasing at a rate of approximately 5% per minute. It eventually plataues around 25% and then drops quite severly once exercise has ceased. The Diastolic blood pressure however, is almost the complete opposite. There is generally no change within pressure throughout exercise, except when V02 max is reached, initiating a small increase in pressure due to an increase in heart rate. Hope this Helps!

What do blood pressure readings mean?

The top number in the blood pressure fraction is the Systolic pressure, or the amount of pressure put on the walls of the arteries during the contraction and ejection of blood from the left ventricle. The bottom number is called the Diastolic Pressure and it means the lowest pressure in an artery in the moments between beats when your heart is resting.

Blood pressure is 146 over 80 and pulse 100 is that bad?

That is considered borderline high blood pressure, however, a one time reading of blood pressure is not enough to make adiagnosis. Some peoples blood pressure goes up just by going to the doctor, called the white coat syndrome. Blood pressure can go up with stress, pain, anxiety, exercise ect...the best thing to do is to take serial readings to get an average. It should average below 140/90 at rest.

Is 373 reading words per minute normal?

Reading at 373 words per minute is actually a little above normal. The average American reader can read at a speed of about 250 to 300 words per minute.

Why is my automobile air conditioning low pressure and high pressure equalized - low pressure is too high?

Either the compressor is not on, or is not working. The pressures are supposed to equalize when it kicks off- either when you turn it off or when it cycles and cuts itself off for a minute. If the compressor is on and engaged and you are still reading equal pressures, it has gone out.

How does gallons of water per minute affect water pressure?

The amount of water flowing by the gallon per minute affects water pressure in a way that means the higher the volume of water per minute, the higher the pressure the water will be. There is also the factor of air in the pipes that will slow down water pressure significantly.

After a dive you are in a pressure group K what will your new pressure group be after a 34 minute dive?

What is normal blood pressure for 49 year old 5'5 woman who weighs 118?

While blood pressure can change from minute to minute with changes in posture, exercise, stress or sleep, it should normally be less than 120/80 mm Hg (less than 120 systolic AND less than 80 diastolic) for an adult age 20 or over. A diastolic (the bigger number) of 100-140 is normal. Any higher than 140 and you have high blood pressure aka hypertension. If you discover this you should see your physician to get checked out as hypertension can be indicative of heart or vascular disease.
