One Peso Chileno will not buy you much. 1,000 Pesos is commonly reffered to as a Luca and is equivalent to, on average, about two US Dollars. So 500 Pesos is about a buck. You can buy groceries for the week for about Twenty Dollars and there are places on virtually every corner where you can be Empanadas de Pino or other breakfast foods for about 75 cents. Cigarettes cost about 3 dollars a pack (1.500 pesos). McDonalds is probably about the same price youre used to. ha
