Not all naturally occurring phenomenon can or should be interpreted as an omen. This is in my opinion one such case.
It is not uncommon for birds to mistake windows in buildings as open space. The reflection of the trees and other natural features of the out of doors in the glass of the windows can mislead a bird into flying into the glass. Most small birds are quite delicate and the impact can stun them and in many cases kill them. The bodies then fall to the area below the window, in this case a porch.
Another explaination for the body would be the presence of a cat or some other domestic animal who still has the instinct to hunt.
