Dominate them. Recessive alleles do not show in your phenotype unless you have two of the same recessive allele. But if you inherit one dominant and one recessive, it is the dominant that always shows in your phenotype.

If you are talking about traits, dominant traits and recessive traits both have alleles. Dominant traits are alleles that cover up the expression of other alleles. One dominant allele with one recessive allele makes a dominant trait. Two dominant alleles together also make a dominant trate. Recessive traits are alleles that are only expressed when there is no dominant trait to cover them up. Two recessive alleles make a recessive trait. Traits can be passed over to the next generation. Two alleles together make a genotype, which is the inherited combination of alleles.

Alleles: different versions of the same gene.

Heredity: determined by genes.

Genes: piece of DNA that shows the cell how to make a protein it needs.

In a Punnett Square, the dominant traits will show up if there are just two dominant genes. For the recessive traits, there needs to be four recessive genes in the Punnett Square.

The dominant traits are the traits you are most likely to get whilst the recessive traits are less likely to appear in you, however they may appear in your offsprings or their offsprings etc.

Dominant genes are always expressed in preference to recessive genes in cased where both genes are present.

explain how dominant genes work

What is the difference between homzyguos and heterozyous?

Homozygous recessive: is when the genes are both recessive Homozygous dominant: is when the genes are both dominant (traits show) Heterozygous dominant: is when one gene is dominant and one is recessive (traits show) Heterozygous recessive: is the same as heterozygous dominant but the dominant genes are inactive

The most powerful genes are said to be?

Dominant, as in dominant and recessive (weaker) genes.

The weaker of two genes is called what?

dominant

What is the difference between dominant and recessive gene?

There are no such things as dominant and recessive genes. There are only dominant and recessive alleles. Dominant alleles are parts of a gene that present its features over the recessive allele, which is the one that is always masked by the dominant allele. The recessive allele's trait only shows if both of the alleles in a trait are recessive.

If an animal with 2 dominant genes for a trait has offspring with an animal with 2 recessive genes for same trait their offspring can only have what?

Their offspring will have dominant genes. However, if these offspring have offspring with an amimal with recessive genes, the recessive genes will show up.

Are freckles dominant recessive or dominant dominant?

dominant genes for freckles

Can recessive genes become dominant?

Yes

What does pure dominant mean?

Pure dominant = two dominant genes that make a "pure dominant" trait. Pure Recessive = two recessive genes that make a "pure recessive" trait.

Genes that are only seen when paired with a recessive gene?

if u have a recessive gene with a recessive gene then u can see the recessive gene but if you have a dominant gene with a recessive gene you can only see the dominant gene hope that helps:)
