Golden Retrievers, and I find most dogs, love to eat is meat. Bacon, chicken, beef...they absolutely love it all. I believe that ham is the only meat that's bad for them. My Golden Retriever also loves chips, Pizza crust, and he is a die-hard fan of peanut butter. But these are just occasional treats; we give him dry dog food and Alpo canned dog food once a day and meat flavored biscuits/rawhides throughout the day. They love almost anything, just try to not give them anything that will cause a lot of gas like vegetables, fruits, and ice cream (there are ice creams for dogs that you can buy). Also, stay far away from chocolate, it makes dogs very sick.
A golden retriever is an omnivore. They eat both meat and vegetables, usually in the form of quality dog food.
Meat

They hate to eat grapes, pork and other things so don't give them things they hate to eat.
