Guinea pigs don't eat anything in the wild. They only live as domestic house pets where they eat a daily diet of salad, hay and commercial guinea pig food. They were wild at one point, but not anymore.

∙ 13y agoguinea pigs are in my mind the hungriest things on the planet mine would eat all day if they were aloud to. They are not supposed to be fed lettuce, cakes, biscuits, or dairy products; These can harm the guinea pigs digestive system, so I don't suggest feeding them these items. Guinea pigs do love brocolli, cucumber, spring green leafy stuff, and carrotes. My guinea pigs love it, and none of them have died yet. Guinea pigs are totally vegitarian, and don't eat meat.

∙ 14y agoWild guinea pigs eat any plants really mainly grasses, clover, dandelions, plantain, and sow thistle. There are also other plants they can eat. Some plants are poisonous to guinea pigs.
