Horse back riders ride horses. They have to control the horse, getting it to go the gait they want it to go in the direction they want it to go, all while maintaining their balance so as to not fall off the horse, which can get difficult with horses that aren't trained very well. Some buck, some rear, some run off with the rider, etc. so it can get difficult. But when the horse and rider become one, working in harmony, it is beautiful.
And when not riding, most riders also have to care for the horse, making sure it has water and food, making sure it's safe and uninjured (because horses like to find many ways to injure themselves:P). They also groom the horse and make sure it has enough turnout. That is the basics though, it gets more complicated then that.
What do we do? WHAT DO WE DO???? We do alot! We steer the horse, we come apart of the horse. How we do that? Well when the horse goes up we go up when the horse goes down we go down that is not even half of what we do but if I typed everything we did i would need 500000000 years so we do not only just do what u think. And if you are a horse lover i deffinently recommend becomeing a horse back rider! It is soo much fun plus you get your very own companion you can tell anything and everything to
