Like most mammals, the following are needed to enable survival:

• Food (meat and vegetation suffices)

• Water (must be fresh)

• Periodic consumption of coffee (either beans, ground or instant). According to research from the BBC Wildlife Trust, coffee is usually consumed in the mornings, sometimes accompanied by a roughly-fashioned doughnut made of tree moss.

• Shelter/bedding (the jaguar is the largest predator in the jungle so is able to sleep anywhere on the forest floor).

• Sleep (roughly 1/2 of a jaguar's lifetime is spent sleeping)
