An Index Fund is said to provide benefits, like a broader Market Exposure, Low Operating Expenses, and Low Portfolio Turnover. It is a passive form of managing funds.
The advantages of Vanguard index funds are the "more risk, more money" factor. It is also a low-cost method to get exposed into the large-capitalization markets.
Index funds are designed to track a specific benchmark. The benchmarks are often widely published, rebalance annually (also known as reconstitution), and focus on a specific section of the marketplace. Index funds are designed to be low-cost, transparent and come close to the performance of the benchmark (less expenses).
BSE Index or SENSEX: The BSE Index or the Sensex as it is popularly known, is the index of the performance of the 30 largest & most profitable, popular companies listed in the index. Each company that is part of the index has its own weightage in the value of the Index. Since the number of companies is lesser, the index variations are higher when compared to the Nifty index.
Index Relancing is the process by which the weights of the constinutents (stocks) within an portfolio (Index) is adjusted in event of change in the index composition.
Bond's work index one of the most acceptable approach to calculate the grindability index.
It has no units because we are determining the degree of pulverized coal.
What is the HGI(Hard Grove Index)?from britannicameasurement of coal grindability...in a laboratory mill of standard design. The percent by weight of the coal that passes through a 200-mesh sieve (a screen with openings of 74 micrometres, or 0.003 inch) is used to calculate the Hardgrove grindability index (HGI). The index is used as a guideline for sizing the grinding equipment in a coal-preparation plant. Can you tell us the HGI for Indian coal?
Grindability
YES, there is a relation between HGI and coal quality. HGI is the parameter to indicate the hardness or grindability of the coal when it is used in pulverized coal for boiler
Drugs with a low therapeutic index have a narrow margin of safety.
The numbers of contour lines indicate altitude or elevation along that line.

The Hardgrove Grindability Index was developed in the 1930s from experimental work by R. Hardgrove to determine the relative difficulty of reducing various coals to a particle size required for efficient combustion in pulverized coal boiler furnaces. The HGI is now commonly applied to specifications for coal to be used in the iron making, cement and chemical processes. There are several different "standard" methods for the determination of HGI (e.g. - AS1038 Part 20:2002, and ASTM D409-2006), which can lead to significantly different results. Further, HGI is an empirical measure and not a physical proprty of coal; as such the results of any standard test have relatively low repeatability for a given coal sample. In general, the higher the HGI value, the more readily a coal can be reduced to smaller particle sizes.
high penetration index shows low temperature susceptibility, low penetration index shows high temperature suspectibility.
This website http://www.glycemicgourmet.com/low-glycemic-recipes.html gives you recipes for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner that are low glycemic index.
Yes! since index minerals form at specific pressure and temperature conditions hence when they are encountered or observed in a certain metamorphic rock they serve to indicate the condition by which the rock formed. They can tell whether it is a high grade or low grade metamorphism.e.g Andalusite mineral indicate high grade metamorphism associated with high temperature.
