to control the cell's actions
The main nucleolus function is production of subunits which together form the ribosomes. The ribosomes are known to produce/manufacture proteins and therefore, nucleolus plays an indirect role in protein synthesis. Out of the total production of RNA that takes place in cells, nucleolus is involved in 50% of the RNA synthesis. This functionality of nucleolus is attributed to hundreds of r-genes.
It controls all cell activity.
what is the function of nucleous?
A prokaryote.
Vice principle, ghost writer, things like that!
Nucleolus is in the nucleus. Chromosomes are also in the nucleus.
In prokaryotic cells, the chromosome is attached to the cell membrane and is a single plasmid. In eukaryotic cells the (usually multiple) chromosomes are enclosed within the nucleus.
DNA can be found in chromosomes located in the nucleus, as well as the mitochondria and chloroplasts
