I believe a priest is normally limited to no more than three Masses in one day..AnswerAbsent special pressing circumstances, a priest may only say Mass once a day. If he has to say a second Mass, say on a Sunday, it is called binating and he must obtain permission, at least implicitly from his Bishop. If he has to say three Masses - known as Trinating, he must call his Bishop each time and obtain a dispensation. I have never heard of any permission beyond that, he may only keep the stipend for the first Mass said.
