It typically indicates that the brake pads have worn down to the minimum.
There is a wire fitted into the RH disc brake pad, and when the pad is worn down to minimum thickness, the wire touches the disc, and having been grounded to an earth, switches the light on the dash, the bulb you mention.
Renew the front brake pads NOW, before they wear down to the metal and require disc/rotor replacement as well.
