Where is fort redoubt?

This is information is on Advanced Redoubt, or Fort Redoubt located in Pensacola FL, however there is Redoubt Fort, located in Harwich England. Fort Redoubt, is actually called Advance Redoubt, and is one of four "Third System fortifications", built to protect the Pensacola Navy Yard, located in Pensacola FL. The Advanced Redoubt of Fort Barrancas was built between 1845 and 1870 as part of a defensive network for the Pensacola Navy Yard. Forts Pickens, McRee, and Barrancas protected the entrance to the harbor; the Advanced Redoubt was constructed to defend the northern side of the peninsula on which the navy yard was located. The Redoubt is unique among the early American forts at Pensacola in being designed solely for resisting a land-based assault. The Third System fortifications consisted of 42 forts built between 1816 and 1870. They were used to guard all the principal harbors, rivers, and naval yards of the United States. Only the Advanced Redoubt of Fort Barrancas at Gulf Islands National Seashore was built entirely for land defense. Advance Redoubt was built to assist Fort Barrancas (700 yards south) in protecting the Navy Yard from overland assault. Although Redoubt was begun in 1845 construction dragged on for almost fifteen years. It is unique among the early American forts at Pensacola in being designed solely for resisting a land-based assault. Advance Redoubt was only manned during the Civil War. At the conclusion of the Civil War it became evident that the masonry forts could not stand up to the fire of modern rifle artillery and were therefore rendered obsolete.
