Constant rippling of the skin due to muscle "spasm" is called myokymia, or nueromyotonia. The worm like movement of the skin is called fasiculations. Depending on the cause muscle damage can occur. You should consult your doctor for blood work to rule out auto-immune disease, and a ck to see if muscle damage is occuring, a cbc, sedrate and chem profile , etc. depending on what your doc wants to order. You did not say if you are a runner, compartment syndrome, chronic compartment syndrome, and bone inflammation can also cause myokymia in runners. A orthopedic surgeron can rule out these syndromes rather easily. Or a rheumatologist can explore other avenues. But you should start with your primary care physician....!!!!!
