You notice your breathing is becoming difficult. The harder you work at getting air in, the less it seems to work. You begin to panic.
Imagine you have a coffee stirrer straw, how thin it is. Now imagine you are under water and that is your air hose. It's just not enough air.
The longer this problem lasts, the more excited you become which makes your dilemma worse.
If you have your rescue inhalor (breather drugs) you can't breathe in well enough to actually get the medication into your system. Now you really, truly think you are going to die.
Others around you panic also. You can't speak but in 2-3 word sentences to tell them what is wrong or what to do to help you. You are drowning in a sea of air; it is all around you but can't get enough of it into your lungs to live.
Like you are suffocating, but slowly. What happens is the airways to the lungs become narrow and airflow is partially restricted when they become irritated. This is because they are super sensitive, more sensitive than the average persons. Two things may cause an Asthma attack: 1)Airway Inflammation, 2)Bronchoconstriction. Airway inflammation is when the airways become red, swollen and narrow. Bronchoconstriction is when the muscles that encircle the airways tighten up or go into spasm. Avoid being outside too much, around pollen or any allergens, exercising excessively, smoking or any inhalants that causes nausea or is bad for your health.

∙ 11y agoWhen you have asthma,a breathing disorder/disease, you get weezy when you run or when you are sick. You need to take special inhalers for it. An asthma attack is when you have trouble breathing at any time. You may need to go to the hospital or ER or take and/or take a breathing treatment which helps open up the pipes to your lungs.
