I'm guessing you mean the electron microscope.

The EM does the same thing an ordinary visible light microscope does which is allows the viewer to see very tiny things. But the EM allows the viewer to see things that are way smaller than the smallest objects the ordinary microscope can see.

The electron microscope allows us to see those way smaller objects because the electro-magnetic waves that the electron microscope uses to illuminate the target object we want to view are orders of magnitude shorter than visible light waves.

And a rule of physics is that whatever object we want to see can only be seen when the illuminating waves are shorter than the object's size.

Principle of electroscope and types of electroscope?

Like charges repel and unlike charges attract each other this is the fundamental principle used in an electroscope to detect presence and amount of charge. There are mainly 2 tpes of electroscopes pith ball electroscope and gold leaf electroscope

If you grounded the electroscope what does that do to the leaves of your electroscope?

...Guys...This is the answer of question...it simple! If we grounded the electroscope..whatever the charge on leaves are, positive or negative (as it depends with which charge you electrolyse the electroscope), if its positive and ground is negative (attraction) or if same + + so repultion

If the leaves of an electroscope spread apart it indicates that?

It indicates that the leaves of the electroscope have received a charge.

In experiments involving a pinball electroscope what causes the pithball to move?

An electroscope is a device that detects and measures electricity. In experiments involving a pinball electroscope, the pith ball moves because of an induced charge.
