The pH increases. There are two ways to think about this. First, adding hydroxide ions is the same as adding a base, and a base will cause the pH of a solution to become more basic, i.e. increase. Second, hydroxide ions will react with hydrogen ions in the solution to neutralize them, decreasing the concentration of hydrogen ions.
