ideally a 12 year old should not be benchpressing. Why is benchpressing more difficult by yourself using a soloflex then having a regular bench and a spotter. P.S. I could bench more by myself then with a spotter?

The bands prevent the use of any momentum , if you add free weights to the lever arm it will make the exercises even more difficult . Adding the free weights will make the start of any movement harder and the bands make the lockouts much harder .
