∙ 14y agoHi. first, I must say that I am NOT a physician, and this is a question that should be easily anwered by any of your medical doctors. However, I have also looked into this, and it appears that the gyst is that biapical comes from "bia" meaning two and "pical" meaning high point. Thus it seems to pertain to the top portion of organs, etc. . I.E. if you are talking about biapical scarring of the lungs, it would mean scarring in the top portion of both lungs. HOWEVER, I would definitely advise you to consult with one of your doctors about this. If you get the feeling that the doctor will take this as a dumb question and you feel ashamed (which I rather doubt, but it is certainly not impossible), then you might think about another doctor! psyche.
